Spirits Rising by Matt Savage for percussion ensemble. This piece incorporates the rhythms of two West African dances: Manjani and KuKu. This high energy piece is written for three djembe parts and one djun djun part - each part may be performed with as many players as desired. Each part contains solo sections for improvisation.

Good piece for hand drummers of different levels

This is a good quartet that can be easily and quickly put together by experienced players. It is simple enough for less experienced players to learn. Each player gets to solo which can be repeated to extend the length of the piece. It calls for 3 djembes, djun djuns, and a bell. There are a few misprints in the parts.
