Smith, Rob-Sprung Out (SP)-V/2M/P

Sprung-Out by Rob Smith for percussion sextet. There are two main types of material in the work: energetic hand drum music and syncopated, line driven keyboard music. Throughout the work, these materials are increasingly mixed together, amid various twists and turns, until they are thoroughly combined at the end.

Instrumentation:
Player 1 - marimba
Player 2 - marimba, shaker
Player 3 - vibraphone, suspended cymbal
Player 4 - two hand drums, two suspended cymbals, one temple block
Player 5 - two hand drums, two suspended cymbals, bass drum, splash cymbal, one temple block
Player 6 - two hand drums, two suspended cymbals, shaker, one temple block
