Description

Karlheinz Stockhausen wrote Zyklus in 1959 as a test piece for the Kranichstein Music Competition. This seminal piece was one of the earliest multiple percussion solos and spawned a wave of percussion pieces. In addition to its historical importance, the musical construction of the work is of profound interest; structures of varying degrees of determinacy are arranged in 5 concurrent cyclical leyers. This classic score belongs in every percussionist's library!
