Description
Gordon Stout began composing this piece while teaching at the Domain Forget summer music program a couple of summers ago. The title DF-2 means "Don't Forget Domain Forget", and commemorates the wonderful time he had been teaching the students there and performing with the Sixtrum percussion group.
It was premiered by Ken Neth on his senior recital at Ithaca College. This piece has a kind of earthy, folk-like quality to it, but with the rhythmic and harmonic vocabulary typical of my music.
