Description
Endless Mountain Wooden by Gordon Stout was completed in the fall of 2005. It was written for the Taiwan International Percussion Convention 2005, and is dedicated to Tzong-ching Ju for his tireless devotion to the development of percussion and the marimba in Taiwan. This piece is written for four players, two of whom double as singers. Marimba 1 (four mallets, 3.5 octave marimba), Marimba 2 (tenor voice, two mallets, 4 octave marimba), Marimba 3 (alto voice part, four mallets, 4 octave marimba), and Marimba 4 (four mallets, 5 octave marimba).
