Streamline by Christopher Swist is a four mallet solo scored for 4.3 octave marimba. The piece was composed at the marimba, and is therefore very idiomatic. With flowing 16ths and gentle progressions, the solo is deal for casual performance settings, or as contrasting work of relaxation and meditation on a recital program. The piece is a useful vehicle for building endurance, strengthening the use of the inner mallets, and developing a broad sense of dynamic contour.
