Stright-Six Poems (1st Place 1990 PAS Comp. Contest)-V

These Six Poems composed for Solo Vibraphone by Robert Stright won 1st Prize in the 1990 Percussive Arts Society (PAS) Composition Contest. Compositionally, symmetry is the guiding principle behind the melodic tunes, chord structures and overall form. Technically, the pieces are designed to satisfy the players' desire that the music "feel good under the mallets."
