Larson-Suite Americana-V/M

Suite Americana by Keith Larson is a unique solo scored for vibraphone and 4.3-octave marimba (one player on both instruments). This piece combines techniques used in contemporary literature for solo marimba and solo vibraphone. The styles and harmonies in the suite are those found in American music. The piece is suitable for high school solo competitions as well as college undergrad recitals.
