Tama Starphonic Concert Snare Drum - 14" x 6" - Piano Black

The Starphonic Concert Snare Drum features a 7 ply maple shell construction with a hoop and snare system that delivers a great snare and shell resonance. A 120° gradual bearing edge allows for a freely resonating bottom head and maximum snare response. The snare system is equipped with two different wire materials. This assembly produces a gut style response and tone, but still offers plenty of range to tailor the sound of the drum to the individual player's needs and preferences.

• Grooved Straight Hoop - Featuring the tuning stability of a multi-flange hoop with the openness of a single-flange hoop as well as a unique design that allows player to have full access to the head's playing surface.
• 10 Freedom Lugs - Tube style that allows for the tilting of the claw hooks backwards and away from the Grooved Hoop for quick access to the heads.
• MLS50BC strainer with hybrid snare wire:
• 6 strands of nickel-wound guitar string in the center
• 3 strands of nylon-coated stainless steel straight wire on each side
