Fitch-That Good Night-M

That Good Night by Steve Fitch is a four mallet solo written for 4.0 octave marimba. After a brief chorale introduction, the piece builds momentum into a section marked "Feroce." A cadenza follows using a 212-343 sticking pattern, which leads into the final section of the piece. Fitch provides two possible endings for this piece; a very short, repeated pattern that fades out, or a more daring, powerhouse ending not for the faint of heart.
