The REM Cycle by Dustin Schulze for percussion ensemble. Rapid Eye Movement (REM) is a stage of sleep characterized by the rapid and random movement of the eyes. It is also the part of sleep where the most vivid dreaming occurs. This challenging yet fun piece is part programmatic, part cinematic, and part minimalist, yet wholly original.
