Description
The S-Dance by Ivana Bilic for percussion trio. The theme of the piece is a dance that comes from Silba, the island of Bilic's ancestors. Her main inspiration for this piece was the curvy and sensual letter S and the different variations of dancing and rhythm that we find in different cultures. Bilic writes, "I like to use quotations and mix styles. The piece should project the joy of movement, rhythm and sound imminent to percussion.

Player 1 - cabasa, bass drum (shared with all players), 4.6-octave marimba, sizzle cymbal, vibraslap, rain tree, woodblocks, bass drum with pedal
Player 2 - snare drum, vibraphone (with motor and bow), hi-hat, bass drum (shared with all players)
Player 3 - bass drum (shared with all players), 32" timpani, 4.6-octave marimba, cowbells with pedal, two agogo bells
