Fung-Voices Inside My Head, The (SP)-2B/Cro./P

The Voices Inside My Head by Vivian Fung for percussion trio. This zany, wild piece features a variety of tom-toms, cymbals, glockenspiel, crotales, and small percussion instruments, as well as homemade and everyday objects such as metal salad bowls, empty soup cans, a kazoo, a saw, and newspaper. This piece was written for the 50th Anniversary season of the Bowdoin Festival and it celebrates the creative imagination as well as the goofiness of making music.

Instrumentation:
Player 1 - crotales, suspended cymbal, slapstick, 2 stainless steel bowls, 3 temple blocks, 2 plastic sphere maracas, 1 empty soup can, lots of newspaper, cowbell
Player 2 - glockenspiel (bowed, shared with Player 3), 5 porcelain bowls, 2 suspended cymbals, mounted clave or high woodblock, empty soup can, tambourine, kazoo, musical saw, lots of newspaper
Player 3 - glockenspiel (bowed), 2 suspended cymbals, large triangle, 5 tom toms, 2 sets of maracas, lots of newspaper
