After noticing a large gap between beginning and advanced 4-mallet literature, Dr. Tracy Thomas decided to compose a piece that would challenge a performer without requiring extremely advanced techniques. Dragon Dance is brisk but does not require large intervals in each hand, which makes it perfect for the student still developing their technique. It is an energetic work with an Asian flavor that would be a great piece for contests or recitals.
