Igelsrud-Three Moments in Time-5T

Three Moments in Time by Douglas Igelsrud is a three movement suite for solo timpani. The three movements in this piece are I. Soundings II. Toward Stillness. III. A Coming Together. Mr. Igelsrud holds bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Miami and from the University of Iowa.

Mr. Igelsrud did advanced study at the Cleveland Institute of Music with his mentor, Cleveland Orchestra Timpanist Cloyd Duff, and performed in the Institute orchestra under the direction of James Levine. He was the principal timpanist at Syracuse Symphony for 25 years and has also played with the San Antonio Symphony, Colorado Philharmonic, and the Birmingham Symphony.
