Brostrom-Nordic Peace (SP)-P

Nordic Peace by Tobias Brostrom is a percussion quartet that takes ideas from a drumset fill. One of the set-ups calls for a drum set without toms. The other set-up uses toms, bongos, timbales, kickdrum. cow bells, woodblocks, opera gongs and shaker (among other things). Traditional drum set ideas are presented from a different point of view. Player IV: Suspended Cymbal, 3 Cowbells or Almglocken, Splash Cymbal, Sleighbells, Shaker

Swedish composer Tobias Broström ( b. 1978 ) had four years of percussion studies from the Malmö Academy of Music behind him when he embarked on a course of studies in composition for Rolf Martinsson and subsequently the Italian composer prof. Luca Francesconi. In 2003 he became teacher of arrangement/composition and music theory at Sundsgården Folk High School.
