Mikula-Transformaticisms(SP)

Transformaticisms by Phillip Mikula for percussion quintet. This challenging, rhythmically vibrant work was commissioned by the Eastman School of Music for a celebration concert in honor of John Beck. The title of the piece is derived from two words: transformation and chromaticisms.

Instrumentation:
vibraphone, timpani, drum set, chimes, orchestra bells, marimba and a variety of small percussion instruments.
