Jarvis-Tusk (SP)-V/X/M/P

Tusk by David Jarvis for percussion octet. This piece draws from various aspects of African music. The harmonic and melodic elements are based on a hemitonic pentatonic sclae and the rhythmic patterns are call and response. This lively and unique work requires each player to utilize more than one instrument during the course of the performance.
