#reBoot is a virtuoso concert piece for marimba. The structure is a kind of marriage between a repetitive musical ostinato on the one hand and motifs taken from Romanticism on the other. There are two large repetitive sections. Each has a clear technical and musical build-up, occasionally flirting with a poppy vibe. #reBoot also has an introduction and virtuoso coda which, together with the two large middle parts provides an overall musical and technical structure which references the great examples of the Romantic era. Its accessible musical idiom and virtuosic flair make #reBoot suitable for an audience of enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike. At the same time, it's a brilliant concert piece to show off wit.
