Koshinski-Variations (After Vinao)-M

Variations (after Vinao) by Gene Koshinski is a two mallet solo written for 4.3 octave marimba. This piece was commissioned by Tim Broscious and was inspired by Alejandro Vinao's landmark solo, "Khan Variations." This seven minute solo is a set of variations on an eight bar theme. Each variation focuses on a variety of different musical elements. Variations is the third work in an ongoing series of two mallet pieces for the concert hall.
