Rice-Variations for Marimba-M

Variations for Marimba by Dwayne Rice is a four mallet solo scored for 5-octave marimba. This piece is essentially a "classical" set of variations on a theme, however the "theme" is elusive and evolves as the variations progress. Dedicated to Sandi Rennick, this is a virtuosic work using advanced four mallet techniques. Advanced techniques employed include complicated double lateral stroke combinations, independent one-handed rolls, and large interval spreads.
