Varner-preValent motiVes (SP)-3M/BM/V/P

preValent motiVes by Michael Varner is a percussion sextet that uses harmonic and rhythmic characteristics found in the music of Bela Bartok. The instrumentation and setup are identical to Varner's other piece "conVective motiVes", allowing ensembles to transition seamlessly without setup delay from one piece to the next, should the two of them be programmed together.
