The Vater Josh Freeze H220 Drum Sticks live between a 5A & 5B, with a quick taper and heavy shoulder. A bit more weight up top for a solid feel, great response and durability, yet still sensitive enough for lighter playing. A slightly enlarged version of a 5A tip. Hickory.

I played Regal Tip 5A's for over 30 years and was really bothered by their demise; cause I couldn't find anything close to their 5A wood tip and nothing I tried felt right. Then I found these sticks! They're almost identical to the Regal Tip 5A. They're my stick for the rest of my career! The slightly extra weight they have makes a potent strike on the drum and literally brings out a fuller, deeper tone. LOVE EM!

I originally used these a few years ago and decided to try them again. These really are awesome sticks by Vater. Nice balance and they sound good regardless of the volume or type of music you are playing. Steve Weiss is always top notch and as usual these arrived fast, well packaged and just as described.
