Excellent & Versatile Drum Set Stick

I use this stick more than any other on drum set. It works great for jazz combos, big band, Latin and everything up through moderate rock. If you need to play really loud or heavy, use something bigger, but otherwise, the 5AN is a great go-to stick. If you need to be really delicate, I recommend the 7AN. I've been a percussionist for 35 years, and Vic FIrth is the only brand whose nylon tip has never broken on me. It must be something in the way they make them or the nylon material they use. Other companies make good sticks, but VF is the way to go, especially for nylon.
