I have used every company tirelessly. Vic Firth has the best quality, we all know that. Then going through model after model (all great) i found the SD10 is by far the most versatile stick for me. I like a large stick in a light weight, which the Maple gives you. It took awhile to adjust to maple from hickory if you are a hard hitter but its worth it. I have no volume problems with the SD10 using it from jazz to rock. Additionally, the balance of the stick is superb. Get yourself some pairs and see for yourself!

SD10's are big sticks - longish, big circumference - but they're light and the balance of the stick is more toward the butt end. They're the perfect stick if you want a little more mass and/or size than a typical lightweight jazz stick, but you still don't want the heavy beef and forward balance of a more rock-oriented stick. They are fast and nimble. If you are playing a really thin cymbal, you will need to hold them back a bit, otherwise they're good for almost any application.
