The Vic Firth Ian Grom M264 is a hard marimba mallet. The weight of this mallet has been a little reduced to balance out the hardness. Perfect as an upper register mallet it projects and sits nicely on top of the orchestration. High quality Birch handles are comfortable and straight.

I have ordered two pairs of these mallets and on the second day of using them I have noticed a warp in the one pair. I have emailed Steveweiss about this and within a week I had gotten a replacement pair sent to me. The mallets them self are high quality and made to last. They are at an amazing price too, and I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a pair to last and to be heard.
