I'm a bit older in age and live in a very DRY climate. My hands at times get very dry. I've tried different lotions, etc. They don't really do the job and leave an undesirable film on my hand. So... Being a bit skeptical, but open minded, I opted for a container of Vic Wax. This stuff is really cool. I removed the wax, applied it very lightly at first to the back portion, grip area of my sticks. (I suppose you could apply to your hands but this way worked fine for me). At first, it's a bit different but in a few minutes, I totally forgot about it being there. It did the job very well. My sticks moved when I wanted them to. NOT by themselves. So, for those who have similar issues, take a look at this product by Vic Firth. It's a small investment that yields big results IMHO.
