PERFECT for the Weiss 36" Chau Gong!! From subtle quiet noises from "Space" to HUGE bombastic, well, you get the idea. I love it!! Definitely not for a 12" Gong! It would destroy it, if not careful.

Big and heavy, this mallet is much more percussive than my big fluffy one. I like!

It just doesn't get much better than Vic Firth,1st of all, I also use their drumsticks,so if your looking for a large heavy gong mallet to strike a big gong.....you can't go wrong.
