These are very comfortable sticks and produce a good sound for acoustic jazz. I think they feel like a heftier version of the IP (formerly Regal Tip) Jeff Hamilton model sticks.
I love these sticks, in feel, sound, and quality. They are very light, and the tip does provide a few different sounds. But, I feel they are a "jazz" stick, or something for light purpose - you're not going to use them for heavy rock or metal. As always, Vic's products are fantastic.... but go in store to buy, don't buy online - you need to test the quality of the wood and sound on a cymbal.
