Good weight, terrible finish

The weight and balance of this stick are excellent. Unfortunately the finish is very different from any other Vic stick I've tried and provides very little grip, at least with how dry my hands are. The SCS1 in persimmon has nearly the same shape/weight as these and does not suffer from the finish/grip problem.
