The Tommy Igoe sticks are wonderful sticks. Great balance and the Taj Mahal tip is really great on the cymbals and drumheads. Pair these sticks with the Tommy Igoe Groove Essentials books and materials, and you have an awesome combination. The Steve Gadd sticks are my go-to sticks, but these are certainly a favorite as well and I switch between the 2 pairs. I was so glad to see these back in stock, and I'll continue to purchase them from Steve Weiss. Top notch service and selection as always from Steve Weiss.

Vic Firth had production issues and there were none. Then I get an email from Steve Weiss that they're back in stock? I ordered upon receipt of that email and I again possess, in my quiver, Artist Signature Tommy Igoe sticks. They're my favorites! Get some. Try them. But leave some for me...
Best sticks I've ever used!!

These sticks are amazing! As a drum teacher, I've always appreciated Tommy Igoe's books and materials. He has made learning and teaching fun and challenging for both myself and my students. He covers every genre and style of drumming and has created a stick that can handle it all. I have recently gone back to school to complete my music education degree and have found that this stick is one of the most essential tools I have in my stick bag. It is perfect for musicals, jazz, rudiments, and Sunday morning church services. I have large hands as well, and this stick fits and balances perfectly in them. I have used so many brands and wood types in the past, but this stick outshines them all in my book. I also have rheumatoid arthritis, so having a good stick with a great feel and balance is crucial. This stick just feels great in my hands!

Unfortunately, the quality of the wood doesn't allow this particular pair of sticks (both pairs, I bought two) to sound good. They have a hollow sound, and less definition. This forces me to always buy in store so I can test the sound, and see the wood quality. Vic is an amazing company with super high quality products across their line. But from time to time you get less than average wood quality. In short, these are great sticks, but you need to buy in store to allow testing.
