The VicKick beaters feature spherical heads that provide a consistent striking surface. The three models each provide distinct and appropriate levels of articulation, all while achieving an enhanced low-end sound.

Set in the “radial” position, the beater provides clear articulation, consistent rebound and allows for side-by-side clearance when used on double pedal setups. The “flat” position increases beater surface contact for enhanced sound.

The VKB1 is constructed of a medium-hard premium felt head that creates clear articulation with a full low-end sound. Dual orientation offers multiple sound and feel options. This is a fantastic general beater for all musical styles.

Nice sound, but...a bit heavy on the foot

I was really excited to try this bass drum beater. It did give a nice, full, round tone...however, it didn't take long to notice just how heavy it is. After only three or four tunes in our first set, I began to feel like I was pedaling a bicycle in high gear up a hill. I kept loosening the spring tension on my pedal, but it didn't seem to help. This thing is heavy--unfortunately, I like to have a pretty light feel so I switched back to my old beater after the first set. I don't know...I suppose I could try to get my right foot into shape to use it, but it just doesn't seem worth changing my whole technique/feel for a minimal sound difference. If VF could make it lighter, I'd probably really love it. It may work for a lot of players, but unfortunately not for me.

Nice!! Tried it both flathead and side and got great punch and attack. I had the kick drum with a Sennheiser E902 just barely in the resonant side hole running through an Alan&Heath Zed10fx. Check it out.
