Description
3rd place winner PAS Italy Composition Contest 2004 (Cat. A). Challenging solo work inspired by the story of Miyamoto Musashi – born in 1584 he was considered one of the greatest swordsmen to live in all of Japan. The piece does not describe a history but rather the flurry of ideas and emotions he felt, as he strove to reconcile the various stages of his life – hence the many contrasting elements and sections in the piece.
