Description
Estudios de Frontera by Alejandro Vinao was commissioned by The Peabody Conservatory of Music in 2004. This work was written for 5 percussion players and are designed to have a very specific, ethnic sound. The first is based on the octatonic scale and require specific types of mallets (noted in the performance notes). The second is based on the idea of discontinuity of form and this is achieved by weaving melodies in and out across the different instruments at different times. (SCORE ONLY - Parts sold separately)
