I own a lot of Burma bells (4-UFIP and various Asian ones), and I have to say that these Weiss bells are some of the best sounding ones I've played. The bronze they use is very high quality. The 12" one is a monster! Mine weighs in at 2,069g/4.56lbs and has a deep, clear tone (G4) that rings out. The sound is very beautiful and musical. I also have the 6" (312g/0.69lbs, B5) & 9" (991g/2.18lbs, Eb5) bells. All 3 work well together and are a better bet than hunting through piles of Asian ones to find 3 good ones. Thanks to Steve Weiss for making these available!
