Description
Pengling Bells consist of two small bells made of a high-tin bronze material without internal clappers and are shaped like a bottomless gourd (1.5" diameter openeing). When playing these bells, the player, with one bell in each hand, strikes each other at their rims. It is a coloring rhythmic instrument, either in ensembles or in theater music, bringing an effect of peaceful dreams.

These have a very nice clear tone to them. They can be used to substitute as finger cymbals, but they are higher-pitched than most (around high B Natural). They're pretty cutting without being harsh.

My daughter is the orchestral percussionist -- she loves these! Very happy with them.
