I was really hesitant to buy these at first. A good pair of mallets run well into the $40 range. These are $7.50 for a pair. I risked it, and it was worth it. Without any yarn, these are so hard they play as loud as a xylo mallet or a glock mallet. I wrapped these with 4 ply nylon yarn (about 80 wraps each) and they came out to a nice, articulate mallet. I wrapped all 4 pairs, and they are worth every penny

These are very nice mallets! The handles are unpolished, allowing me to grip them more securely and the weight is perfect. The only reason that I didn't give them 5 stars is that the handles are slightly longer than all of my other mallets. I would definitely recommend them though!
