Great Book to get started

I love this book! As a beginner on the Vibes, this book has helped me to really understand the instrument and has put me a solid foundation. It starts out with the very basics and builds on those concepts. It introduces one new note at a time and you lean by repetition. Before you know it, you are playing things that you might not have thought possible. I am thrilled with this book, and as I go through it and diligently practice, I am seeing real results and having a great time. If you are a beginner to the vibes or maybe just want to brush up on reading skills, this is the book for you. I very highly recommend it; you won't be sorry. This truly is a "Fresh Approach."

i used this book in 6th grade and it helped me very well in reading notes and proper technique for mallet percussion. This book starts off with a simple demonstration on how to hold the mallet and finding notes at the end you'll find yourself playing difficult solos you didn't think you once could. I suggest going over your major and minor scales everyday once learned. This book is highly recommended.
