Black (W)Hole is an extraterrestrial introduction to the whole tone scale. Instruments weave in and out of different rhythmic layers that create a very “spacious” and eerie feel. Players experiment with alternate uses of their implementations to create a wide range of colors. The piece comes to a climax with a full cinematic invasion!

• Player 7: 2 Timpani, resonant metal (optional)

• Player 9: Triangle, Flex-A-Tone, bass drum, rake drum
• Player 10: Wind chimes, cymbals (suspended, sizzle, China), triangle
