The Yamaha CSR Series Brass Shell Snare Drum feature brass shells, delivering a well-balanced, clear, and bright tone. Straight snares, a preferred choice among professionals and advanced players, offer crisp responsiveness and detailed expression. These high-grade, metal-shell models perform well in brass bands, orchestras, and various performance settings.

The snare bed is 3.5 mm deep, improving contact with the snares and enhancing snare response, particularly at low volume. Straight snare cables are an ideal match for the CSR1450. Straight cables provide slightly greater bottom-head muting than coil cables for snappier overall response that enables crisp phrasing. The inner-snare design makes handling easy.
