Description
Duets are conversations between two performers. To have a fruitful conversation each person should have ample opportunity to speak and to respond.
Sometimes the two participants will disagree and talk simultaneously. In civil discourse, (something all too rare these days) hopefully the two will find common ground and will move forward stronger together. Dialogos #1 is just such a conversation.
Dialogos #1 uses two 5-octave marimbas. Because each player has to cover a wide range on the instrument, I recommend they each use 4 medium-hard mallets that respond well no matter what octave they are playing in.
