Udow-Yu Ying (StSP)-Solo V/chromatic gongs/almglocken/P/ FL/ASX/HN/TN/PN/VN/VC

Yue Ying by Michael Udow is a concerto for multiple percussion with chamber ensemble. Created for the piano and percussion duo, Sole Nero, - Jessica Johnson and Anthony Di Sanza. All players have engaging parts that make this collaborative effort worthwhile for the performers and creates an equally engaging experience for the audience. Based on Bosho Haiku, the melodies were set syllabically and the harmonic structure was then superimposed over those lines while at times, thicker textures of active contrapuntal melodic materials were created. This work is intended for advanced players. Duration: 26 minutes.
