Perfect for soft clarity

Replace the factory-installed spiral snares with this to dramatically increase the soft sensitivity and rhythmic clarity. Careful that you install them evenly! You will need a small allen wrench and drum key.

Pearl Philharmonic Guitar Wire

The 6 strand light cable "Guitar Wire" is the perfect upgrade to the Philharmonic drums! Gives it the sensitivity it needs at the low end without adding any sound or excess buzzing at the high end. Definitely a must have upgrade!

I usually replace the snappy wires with these on my Pearl drums. It gives a bit more snare response at the soft end. Easy to switch out and adjust.

Guitar String

Comments:

Just put some of the guitar string on my home-built 14" bubinga drum that was lacking some soft-end snare response, and it totally fixed the issue. Now a completely crisp sound at all dynamics! For reference, the setup on the Philharmonic strainer is now bare steel cable, heavy coated cable, and the guitar string (light) cable.
