Description

The Innovative Percussion OS-1 Medium Soft Xylophone Mallet features medium soft attack, and is excellent for ragtime or small chamber performance on xylophone.

This series of 7 Innovative Percussion orchestral xylophone and glockenspiel mallets has been designed in conjunction with Chris Deviney of the Philadelphia Orchestra with the orchestral player in mind. A colored piece of tape is also added to the shaft to distinguish each particular model.

I have used this mallet for some softer xylophone passages where articulation was needed without a sharp piercing attack. This is a good 3rd or 4th mallet to add to your xylophone mallet collection! Also good for lead lines on marimba!
