The following list contains the percussion equipment that is highly recommended for your high school student to fulfil their practicing responsibilities in the Gatesville band program. Your student may only need certain items for the upcoming piece of music they are playing on, and may not necessarily need every item on this list. That being said, percussion uses a diverse set of instruments, so the more items your student obtains from this list, the more prepared they will be for future music assignments.
These items are designed to build your student's percussion inventory over time. If you already have some of these items, then you do not need to buy them again. If you have similar items, or would like to purchase similar items instead of the items on shopping list, please contact Mr. Gonzalez at rgonzalez@gatesvilleisd.org.
We realize that money can be a challenge, so if you cannot purchase everything, please contact Mr. Gonzalez to find out what is absolutely necessary for their current music assignments. We never want money to stop a student from being able to participate in band and we are willing to work with your individual circumstances!
