Description

In keeping with the tradition of creating some of the highest quality products available, Innovative Percussion now offers a high end series of timpani mallets geared toward the professional timpanist. The Bamboo Series features eight models, each designed for a specific purpose. The handles are constructed of bamboo that is turned to a smooth finish and consistent diameter.

The BT4 is a general mallet consisting of a round wooden core and a German felt cover.

I thought these are pretty great timp mallets but not quite articulate as I wish they would have been! But definitely a great mallet for general playing throughout all dynamics! I'd say a solid 4.5 on my scale

These mallets are great. The one review that says "BAD!" is outdated. I beleive they changed these mallets to improve them within the past few years because I bought them and they are absolutely amazing. Perfect weight, great tone. Nice for serious timpanist.

This whole series is bad. Shaft has extremely thin and fragile walls, this pair broke at the ball. Stay away from this series!

The bamboo is great and the weight of the mallets allowed you to handle the dynamics.
