They feel great in my hands and make playing xylophone rags extremely fun and easier to maneuver around the keys. I highly recommend these mallets if you want a brighter tone too.

I like this way better than the Ross Reds because of the size and the sound. Don't forget that these mallets are small but the sound is just as full and way more focused. These are fun to play with on xylo, but on bells these have practically no articulation and just pure tone. It's incredible. Let this be your first xylo mallet purchase.

Ross Reds, Becker Blues, NR36R, all basically the same hardness as this. HOWEVER, the smaller footprint and weighted core make these especially fun to play and very easy on the hands. I would recommend these as the standard and the others as the exception.

These mallets are definitely fast in the hands. Faster excerpts like Porgy or rags will be made easier with these!
