Mallets are great and exactly as described!
The Innovative Percussion IP240 Soloist Series Medium Marimba Mallets are expertly crafted to deliver a brilliant, rich tone with the warmest fundamental possible. Designed with the demanding marimba virtuoso in mind, these medium-hardness mallets offer slightly more immediate articulation than the softer IP200 model. This makes the IP240 an exceptionally popular, highly versatile choice for solo repertoire and intimate percussion ensemble performances.
Every step of the manufacturing process is tailored to meet the exacting standards of today's professional percussionists. The IP240 features a carefully layered core and custom-spun yarn to produce a world-class sound.
While the IP240 is highly adaptable across the instrument, it is specifically voiced to speak beautifully within the middle three octaves of a 5-octave marimba. The balanced weight distribution and oval head shape prevent the mallets from feeling too top-heavy, providing the player with an effortless, nimble feel across the keyboard.

Very good quality and pricing daughter uses them in band
These mallets are perfect for my singing bowls.
I bought the mallets for my son to use in his Beginning Band class while in middle school. These were of excellent quality.
These mallets have earned their popularity for sure. They have a very warm sound and feel great to play on marimbas or xylophone as an extra-soft or rolling mallet. 4-mallet feels great because they aren't too top-heavy and the polish makes the shafts smooth but not slippery. Excellent mallet for solo & percussion ensemble work However, they fall short during larger ensemble playing. Despite being more top-heavy, they're still lighter than most other marimba mallets, and struggle to project through a strong brass section or into larger performance halls. I've purchased almost the entire line (IP200-400) but I always find myself reaching for a Zivkovic or Mark Ford model during ensemble rehearsal.
