Also an accomplished educator in the area of Latin percussion, Lalos Caliente model timbale sticks are constructed of hickory for increased durability, and features a moderate diameter and sixteen inch length for great feel and response on both timbales, bells and cymbals.

Quality timbale sticks - best bang for your buck

The simple fact that four pairs cost only a couple dollars more than a single pair of other timable sticks made me suspicious. HOWEVER, I found them all well balanced, weighted evenly, and they consistantly provided a bright, open sound on the timbales and West African drums (kpanlogo) with each pair. I would definitely recommend them to another person, and particularly an educator looking for quality AND quantity at a more than reasonable price.
