These are good marching mallets. Good for someone straight out of ms, because these are marching mallets eg. they will last for a long time if you take care of them. They are weighted, but not as much as the Raricks with thick rattan shafts. They have a not as much articulation compared to other vibe mallets like the Salyers Percussion Etude Series E30s, but feel very good in the hands.
